TEE TIME: According to Bob Anderson, flexibility expert and co-author of “Getting in Shape,” there is a pregame stretch that will help golfers work the wrists, shoulders, middle back, arms, hands and fingers. Interlace fingers and turn palms out. Extend arms in front at shoulder height. Hold 10 to 20 seconds, relax and repeat.
BUZZ ON KILLER BEES: You can stop worrying about those killer bees. It has been 5 1/2 years since the creatures–technically Africanized honey bees–first crossed the Rio Grande into the U.S. Though they’re moody and quick on the trigger, the bees have not lived up to their billing, as long as they’re handled with care.
HIV ADVICE: Through a well-rounded stress management and relaxation program, people who are HIV positive can improve their life expectancy. They should exercise within limits set by their doctor, eat a healthful diet and avoid alcohol. Some studies have shown that alcohol helps weaken the immune system of individuals who are HIV positive.
