The village and two unions that represent village office employees and firefighters agreed to extend their contracts for three months so that they can then resume negotiations with village manager Michael Grubermann, who was seriously injured in an automobile accident.
Contracts with the University Park Professional Firefighters Association and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees were to expire at the end of the month.
