Three-time Olympic gold medal winner Pablo Morales headlines a June 28 fundraising dinner in Aurora to benefit the Illinois delegation to the 1996 United States Olympic Team and the newly formed Kane County Sports Authority.
Morales, a swimmer, and about two dozen other Olympians, including Para-Olympics power lifter and Aurora native Gerry Millhouse, are scheduled to appear at Walter Payton’s Roundhouse Complex, 205 N. Broadway in Aurora.
According to Sports Authority Executive Director John Wood, the fundraiser is the first sanctioned in Illinois outside of Chicago by the United States Olympic Committee.
