Bob Woodward, an author and assistant managing editor of The Washington Post, will be in town to talk politics. As a reporter, Woodward helped uncover the Watergate scandal in the early 1970s, which led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon. Woodward will speak on the upcoming presidential election and lead a discussion, as well as sign his latest book, “The Choice, November 5, 1996.” The event is sponsored by the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations, and will include a cash bar a half-hour before the lecture. Cost is $15 for council members, $25 for the public.
