The state House roster is at full strength again: Two lawmakers elected last week to fill vacancies were sworn in Tuesday.

Gloria Schermesser, a Democrat and the former mayor pro tem of Lincoln Park, was elected to fill the vacancy left when Rep. Robert DeMars (D-Lincoln Park) died Oct. 21 of a heart attack.

Republican Nancy Cassis, a Novi city councilwoman and member of the Oakland County Republican Executive Committee, took former Rep. Willis Bullard’s spot. Bullard (R-Milford) left the House when he won a special election to fill a Senate vacancy.
