Regarding the article headlined “Flanagan yet to be hailed as conquered hero” (MetroChicago, Nov. 25):
Apparently Rod Blagojevich’s knockout punch to Rep. Michael Flanagan on Nov. 5 still has our accidental congressman seeing stars. How else could Flanagan imagine that an additional turnout of 50,000 voters would have sided with his cause and thus altered the outcome? Or that his constituents really weren’t offended by his votes in support of the Newt Gingrich agenda?
