An employee of Clark Oil, 1160 W. Jefferson St., told police early Wednesday morning that a man tried to hold up the station. The employee said the suspect, who implied that he had a gun, demanded $40 in cash and said he would blow up the building if he didn’t get it. After another employee said he would call the police, the suspect again threatened to blow up the station and then left. No one was injured, police said.
