The I-80 Corridor Regional Planning Council will meet Wednesday to complete a development plan for the area bordering the interstate in Country Club Hills, Tinley Park, Orland Park, Mokena and New Lenox.
The plan calls for commercial development at interchanges and recommends the addition of an interchange between U.S. Highway 45 in Mokena and U.S. Highway 30 in New Lenox.
The recommended location of a new interchange has been a source of disagreement, with Orland Park pushing for a Wolf Road site and Mokena objecting strongly.
The meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Lincoln-Way Central High School, 1801 E. Lincoln Highway, New Lenox.
