Regarding the millennium cruises story (Nov. 17) where brochures for cruises departing or underway on Dec. 31, 1999, declare, “It only happens once every thousand years,” are these year-long cruises or does it really happen twice?

This limerick will explain:

Every century starts with year one

With one hundred full years before done

Its last year ends in ohs

Not the nines some suppose

It’s the same for each millennium
