Peter T. Hussey Sr., 54, a Greyhound bus driver for 30 years, died Monday in his Rogers Park home. Mr. Hussey fulfilled his boyhood dream of becoming a bus driver and chauffeured tens of thousands of passengers throughout his career on routes mostly in the Midwest. His penchant for buses and attraction to the open road began as a boy when he received a Matchbox bus as a gift from his parents. As a boy he used to hail Chicago bus drivers just to say hello and to ask for transfers, which he collected. . Mr. Hussey graduated from Lake View High School and was a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Rita; three sons, Peter Jr., Paul and Philip; and a sister. . Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Cooney Funeral Home at 3552 N. Southport Ave. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Jerome Catholic Church, 1709 W. Lunt Ave.
