Holocaust Remembrance Day will observed at noon Friday in the Winter Garden of the Harold Washington Library Center. The event is free to the public.
The ceremony features speakers Peter Kurcbard, a survivor of the Buchenwald concentration camp, and Dr. Leon Bass, who, as a young GI, witnessed its horrors.
“Remnants from the Past: Holocaust Memorabilia and Artifacts” will be on display through May 30.
