Former U.S. Sen. Paul Simon, CBS Vice President Martin Franks, and Jeffrey Cole, director of the Center for Communication Policy at UCLA, will take part in a panel discussion, “Changing Channels: Violence, Ratings and the New Technologies in American Television.” Television violence, the new rating system that is intended to help parents monitor what their children watch on TV and digital transmissions are among the topics to be addressed. The discussion is free and open to the public.
