James C. Cuzzone, 72, a longtime resident of Park Ridge and founder of the Rosemont Building Supply Co. in Bensenville, died Sunday at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. Mr. Cuzzone was a World War II veteran and the national commander of the Italian American War Veterans of the U.S. in 1981, when that group was chartered by the U.S. Congress. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Illinois Underground Contractors Association, the Northwest Builders Association, former executive director of the Joint Civic Committee of Italian Americans, and former sewer and water commissioner of Harwood Heights. He is survived by his wife, Josephine; his son, Anthony; and his daughter, Marie Jo Hillis. Visitation will continue from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. mass at Mary Seat of Wisdom Church, 920 Granville Ave., Park Ridge.
