WMAQ-Ch. 5 made a controversial but savvy decision in hiring Jerry Springer to do commentaries. Having heard him years ago as a commentator and anchor in Cincinnati, I look forward to seeing him again in a role much more suited to his talents and background.
His abilities are wasted on his current show; it is unfortunate that the majority of people don’t know him in any other capacity. Once they do, they will be pleasantly surprised. Congratulations to the management of WMAQ for making a courageous move.
