Three American Airlines pilots, including Robert Held, a Chicago-based first officer, have filed suit in federal court in Washington, seeking to block temporarily a proposed contract that would resolve a bitter labor dispute between the Ft. Worth-based airline and its pilots. The three contend the airline violated federal labor laws by preventing them from campaigning against the proposal. If successful, the suit would invalidate voting on the proposed contract. Results of the vote are to be announced Monday.
