Lisle-based Tellabs Inc. signed a letter of intent to supply Cincinnati Bell Inc. with its Sonet–synchronous optical network–based Titan 500 digital cross-connect system. Digital cross-connect systems allow companies to perform the functions necessary to deliver telecommunications services with less equipment and increased reliability. Tellabs designs, makes, markets and services voice data transport and network access systems.
