The Village Board has approved the annexation of a planned 12-home subdivision at the northern edge of its municipal borders.
A vote on the project at 134th Street and LaGrange Road had been delayed several times in past months while the landowner negotiated an agreement with a neighboring church to share sewer line costs. On Monday night, officials approved the preliminary plans for the 5.5-acre project.
Included in the plan is a walking path leading to the west of the subdivision that may one day connect to a future bike path through the forest preserve.
Cut from the project is a sidewalk along LaGrange Road.
