Ronald V. Greer, 58, of Glenwood, a business owner, former bank executive and top aide to then-Illinois Comptroller Roland Burris in the 1980s, died Thursday in Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Mr. Greer, a former vice president of Continental Illinois National Bank & Trust Co. (now Bank of America, Illinois), was a member of the board of Lakeside Bank in Chicago. He owned Janron General Contractors in Chicago. As a member of the National Urban League, he participated in the Black Executive Exchange Program in the early 1980s. Survivors include his wife, Jeanette; a daughter, Karyn Greer-Johnson; and a grandson. Services will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday in Griffin Funeral Home, 3232 S. King Drive, Chicago. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church, 1131 Douglas Ave., Flossmoor.
