Construction of a new $5.4 million aquatic center is nearly complete and is scheduled to open June 14.
The center is at Janes Avenue and Illinois Highway 83. Park District director Keith Frankland said a grand opening will be held June 21 and numerous activities and classes already are planned for the center.
