Gardner Denver Machinery Inc. of Quincy, Ill., signed a definitive contract to buy Tamrock Corp.’s Oy Tamrotor Ab unit in Tampere, Finland, for about $26 million. Gardner Denver said it doesn’t expect the transaction to dilute its earnings in 1997. Tamrotor makes lubricated screw compressor air ends. Gardner Denver, with 1996 revenues of $218 million, makes air compressor and blower products.
