Chicago Bears Defensive Tackle Chris Zorich grew up poor on the South Side and now, through The Christopher Zorich Foundation, he seeks to help children and families in need.
To raise money for its programs, the foundation is staging a 5K run, 5K walk, 5K wheelchair race and a kids’ dash July 13 in the South Loop. Awards will be presented in a number of categories.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. on Dearborn Street between Polk and Harrison Streets. The entry fee is $20, $10 for the kids’ event. For more information or to register, call 773-868-3010.
