The board of School District 62 plans to award construction contracts for a $1.9 million addition to house 12 new classrooms at Chippewa Junior High School, 123 Eighth Avenue, Des Plaines.
The district is moving 6th graders into junior high schools to make room for a growing population in the lower grades.
