Margit McPhail, 71, a former longtime Chicago resident, died Thursday in a nursing home in Beaver Dam, Wis. A Chicago native, Mrs. McPhail worked for 10 years as a security officer for Swedish Covenant Hospital on the North Side of Chicago. She also was a member of the Tattlers American Legion Post Auxiliary in Chicago. Survivors include a son, Larry; three daughters, Marilyn Lange, Lynn Groat and Maureen Neitzel; and seven grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Kratz Funeral Home in Fox Lake, Wis.
