William C. Tripp, 51, of Aurora, died Tuesday in Edward Hospital in Naperville. Mr. Tripp was a teacher at Waldo Middle School. Before that, he was band director at Waldo and at Bardwell, Dieterich, Gates and Krug Elementary Schools. He was a professional musician for 30 years and organist and choir director for 15 years at Bethany of Fox Valley United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the U.S. Navy Band. Survivors include his wife, R. Lynne; two sons, James and Sean; and a sister. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Bethany of Fox Valley United Methodist Church, 2200 Ridge Ave., Aurora.
