Two men accused of threatening to put nude photographs of supermodel Elle MacPherson on the Internet unless she paid them thousands of dollars pleaded not guilty today to attempted extortion. Authorities allege that Michael Mishler, 29, and William Holt, 26, sent threatening letters to MacPherson demanding $80,000 to keep the revealing pictures off the global computer network. Prosecutors say Mishler stole the pictures from the model’s home.

But Mishler’s attorney, Lawrence Young, has said his client and MacPherson were romantically involved.

Young also claims MacPherson gave his client the photographs and other belongings. MacPherson denied any sort of relationship with Mishler.
