Stanley J. Babiarz, 82, of Elk Grove Village, died Tuesday in Manor Care Nursing Home in Arlington Heights. Born in Chicago, he was a 20-year postal employee with the U.S. Post Office in Palatine, and founder and owner of Rand Sales & Supplies of Palatine and Woodstock for 18 years. He also was the past Grand Knights of Columbus Holy Ghost Council 4977 of Palatine. He is survived by five daughters, Vicki Ebert, Connie J. Russo, Patti V. Moore, Patt L. Stout and Laverne Fitzgibbons; a brother; a sister; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday in Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Rd., Elk Grove Village. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Julian Eymard Catholic Church, 601 Biesterfield Rd., Elk Grove Village.
