Julie Biel Claussen, returning to her native McHenry County as the new managing coordinator of The Corporation for Affordable Homes of McHenry County (CAHMCO), said she will focus her efforts on a program to help first-time home buyers.
Claussen, who has served with the Illinois Housing and Development Authority in numerous capacities over the last 10 years, has an MBA in real estate finance from DePaul University.
“The most significant factor affecting McHenry County is its growth. The CAHMCO would like to address these needs. We’re going to be applying . . . for funds to operate a first-time home buyers assistance program.”
She hopes to have the program in place by January.
