Shortly after the Picasso sculpture in Daley Center Plaza was installed, I recall reading that the man largely responsible for convincing Pablo Picasso to do the work was asked what it portrayed, and I believe he said it bore a striking resemblance to Picasso’s dog, which he had seen while visiting the artist.
