Edith D. Strassenburg, 86, died Thursday in the DuPage Convalescent Center in Wheaton. A lifelong resident of Wheaton, Mrs. Strassenburg was a charter member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She also served as a volunteer at the Wise Penny Shop and was active in several senior citizens organizations. Survivors include three daughters, Bette Rife, Jean Dixon and Carla Wilkinson; a son, David; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in Williams Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Rd., Wheaton. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 515 S. Wheaton Ave., Wheaton.
