Esther Bracken, 79, a retired registered nurse and former dairy owner in Lemont, died Friday in her home in Downers Grove. Mrs. Bracken and her late husband, Joseph, owned and operated her father’s dairy in Lemont. They later opened the Milk House in downtown Lemont. Mrs. Bracken is survived by a daughter, Carol Burkett; a son, Richard, three sisters; a brother; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday in Markiewicz Funeral Home, 108 Illinois St., Lemont. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Matthew Evangelical Church, at Lemont and Illinois Streets, Lemont.
