John P. Tamraz, 70, a retired Army officer who served as a public affairs spokesman at Ft. Sheridan, died Saturday in Rush North Shore Hospital, Skokie. Mr. Tamraz was a resident of Morton Grove. Visitation will be Monday from 3 until 9 p.m. in the Simkins Funeral Home, 6251 Dempster St., Morton Grove. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Mr. Tamraz is survived by his wife, June; four sons, James, Joel, Jeffery and Jack; a daughter, Jeanne Pirc; and five grandchildren.
