With Bill Clinton now shamelessly claiming responsibility for solving the UPS strike, there remains only one question left to ask: Is there any event Bill Clinton will not attempt to take credit for?
Imagine these future Bill Clinton proclamations:
“I hope everyone enjoyed that particularly funny `Seinfeld’ last night. Even though the show has a fine team of writers, I was able to give the script one last once-over to give the lines that extra punch!”
Or, “That was a terrific sunrise this morning. Although God is doing a great job, I did pray extra hard last night to ensure that he did not forget the morning sun.”
I’m not sure what is sadder–the president’s grasps at personal glory or the legions of Americans who actually believe him.
