John W. Polick, 78, a longtime resident of Buffalo Grove, formerly of Deerfield, died Thursday in the Claremont Rehabilitation and Living Center in Buffalo Grove. Born in Elrama, Pa., Mr. Polick was a retired salesman. Survivors include his wife, Helen; two sons, John and James; a daughter, Mary Baranowski; four brothers; a sister; and four grandchildren. A mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary Catholic Church, 75 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove.
