William “Pa” Thinnes, 85, of Algonquin, died Saturday at Crystal Pines Health Care Center in Crystal Lake. He was born in Detroit. He was a retired truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; two sons, Richard and Thomas; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three brothers. Services will be private.
