Bass PLC said Tuesday it renamed its Holiday Inn Worldwide hotel division Holiday Hospitality as part of a restructuring plan that includes the $1 billion renovation of all Holiday Inn hotels.
Atlanta-based Holiday Inn also said it will have a new logo, a globe symbolizing the worldwide nature of the brand.
Individual hotels’ names won’t change, the company said.
The name change and renovation are part of an effort to focus on customer service and satisfaction. Holiday Hospitality also plans to enter the extended-stay market soon.
Holiday Inn Worldwide, franchiser of Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Express hotels, operates or franchises more than 2,300 hotels in more than 60 countries.
