JoEllen McAnulty, 45, of Chicago, died Aug. 11 at her home. Born in Evanston, she lived there and in Wilmette. Ms. McAnulty worked as a writer and ran her own catering business for a time. A graduate of Knox College in Galesburg, Ill., she also attended The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. Survivors include her father, James C. McAnulty Sr.; a brother, James C. Jr.; and a sister, Judy DeGarmo. Services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at Trinity Methodist Church, 1024 Lake Ave., Wilmette.
