John “Jack” Blomquist, 54, of Hanover Park, died Monday in Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. Born in Chicago, Mr. Blomquist worked as a maintenance engineer for St. Isidore Catholic Church in Bloomingdale. He also was a member of Sheetmetal Union Local 73. He was an avid fisherman, who enjoyed boating and the outdoors. Survivors include his wife, Maryjo; three sons, Eric, Edward and John; a daughter, Jodi; his mother, Selma; and three brothers. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Brust Funeral Home, 415 N. Gary Ave., Carol Stream. Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Isidore Catholic Church, Gary Avenue and Army Trail Road, Bloomingdale.
