Staff members at Thomas Junior High School, 303 E. Thomas Ave., told police Monday that vandals splashed paint on the walls and floor of a gymnasium there, causing an estimated $1,500 to $2,000 in damage, police said. There was no indication how the vandals got into the gym, police said.
