A 27-year-old Aurora man Wednesday awaited transfer to DuPage County Jail, a day after he was arrested at 4th Street and Galena Boulevard after police found a burned metal pipe with a copper screen in his possession, police said. Marlon Lee Shamley, 415 E. Park Ave., was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Although he was released on those charges pending a Sept. 18 court appearance, he was still being held for authorities in DuPage, where he was wanted on arrest warrants accusing him of retail theft, theft and criminal trespass to property. Police stopped Shamley, who was riding his bicycle on the sidewalk, and asked him if he was carrying any weapons or drugs. He said no and allowed police to search him, police said.
