Madeleine Dhaens, 94, of Elgin and formerly of Chicago, died Sunday in Elgin. Born in Belgium, she was a homemaker. She is survived by two sons, Edward and Robert; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 226 Orchard St., Elgin.
