Jude Poelinitz, 51, pastor of the Travelers Rest Spiritual Church who also had worked for the Tribune as a security officer and supervisor, died Monday in Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He was a resident of the Chatham neighborhood. He was named pastor of Travelers Rest Spiritual Church in 1991. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; a daughter, Maria Johnson; a stepdaughter, April Yates; two stepsons, Narvell Darling and Timothy Darling; his parents, Julius and Maria; seven brothers; seven sisters; and a grandchild. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday in Travelers Rest Church, 7030 S. Racine Ave. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Third Baptist Church, 1551 W. 95th St.
