Donna G. Daniel, 34, was a software engineer for Motorola in Schaumburg, where she worked for the firm’s cellular infrastructure group. Born in Harvey, Mrs. Daniel died Wednesday in Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood.

Mrs. Daniel grew up in Mundelein and attended the University of Illinois where she earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science. After graduation, she was hired by Motorola where she continued working part-time after giving birth to her third child.

Mrs. Daniel’s passion was her family. She spent many days involving her children in a variety of outings. Her favorite activity was watching her daughter perform gymnastics.

An 8-year resident of Lake Zurich, Mrs. Daniel enjoyed gardening and craft shows. Her sister-in-law, Myra Daniel, said Mrs. Daniel enjoyed living in Lake Zurich where her family would often head to the lake for a picnic and swim.

Survivors include her husband, Christopher; two sons, Timothy and Benjamin; a daughter, Ellen; her mother, Shirley Arndt; and two sisters. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Peace Lutheran Church, 1050 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich.
