I have heard it said many times that angels are all around us, and on the night of Aug. 15, I learned it is true. Angels are not from a distant place, as I thought, but are all around us here on Earth; they live in the hearts of human souls. I would like to thank two of “Earth’s angels,” Rufus Floyd and Michelle Coleman, for helping my sister and nephew.
Late that night at the on-ramp going north to the Dan Ryan near 99th Street, the steering wheel to my sister’s car fell off in her hands while she was driving with her son. She had just gotten her car back from a repair shop where she had paid $450 for work done on the steering wheel.
Mr. Floyd and Ms. Coleman saw the look of panic on my sister’s face and came to her aid. When we arrived they were already making phone calls to locate a tow truck that would come out. They stayed even after my husband and I arrived to help make sure everything went well.
Thank you, Mr. Floyd and Ms. Coleman, for your kindness and concern.
