John M. De Ano, 70, a veteran of World War II, died Saturday at Columbia La Grange Memorial Hospital in La Grange. A native of Oak Park, Mr. De Ano graduated from Proviso High School in Maywood before serving in the Navy near the end of the war. Mr. De Ano worked at the Patten Tractor and Equipment Co. for more than 30 years. He joined the company in the parts department, rising through the ranks to become executive vice president and general manager. He is survived by his wife, Julie; two daughters, Janet Capodagli and Joan Rykal; a son, James; and eight grandchildren. Mass will be said Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Domatilla Church, 4900 Washington St., Hillside.
