I want to thank you for the published apology to readers (Op-Ed, Sept. 3). The acknowledgment of the editorial error in publishing Gene Wojciechowski’s Aug. 20 column (Sports) was a relief to readers that your paper is not insensitive and unconcerned about the community it serves.
I am positive that Mr. Wojciechowski did not intend to offend anyone; I am glad to see that positive steps are being taken to address the issue. Working together, I know that the Tribune will continue to maintain its high standards in serving all communities. Keep up the good work!
