Police charged a 25-year-old Elgin man with retail theft after he allegedly put two graphic calculators in a stroller and walked out of the Super Kmart on North Milwaukee Avenue at about 3:55 p.m. Friday. Police said Edward W. Mulford of 1610 Kenneth Circle entered the store with a woman pushing a stroller. Store security reported that Mulford put the calculators, valued at $220, in the stroller. He was stopped as he exited the store and held until police arrived, police said. The woman was not charged, police said.
