Roxie Birkner, 67, of Bloomingdale, died Tuesday in Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village. Mrs. Birkner, a retired nurse, was born in Des Moines. She is survived by her husband, Douglas; a son, Michael; a daughter, Cynthia Benhart; a brother and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday in Trinity Lutheran Church, 405 S. Rush St., Roselle.
