Hama Katagiri, 79, a Wheeling resident for more than 30 years, died Tuesday in Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview. Mrs. Katagiri, who was born in Wapato, Wash., enjoyed gardening. She is survived by her husband, Joe M.; two daughters, Gail Katagiri and Nancy Beck; one granddaughter, and three sisters. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, followed by services at 2 p.m., in Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave., Wheeling.
