Arleen Crooks, 97, a resident of Mt. Prospect for 37 years, died Thursday in the Lutheran Home and Service for the Aged in Arlington Heights. Born in Reedsburg, Wis., Mrs. Crooks was a retired court reporter for the U.S. Department of Justice Immigration Services in Chicago. Survivors include a son, Kendal; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Raymond Catholic Church, 301 S. I-Oka Ave., Mt. Prospect.
