Robert B. Hess, 75, a resident of McHenry since 1951, died Sunday at Woodstock Memorial Hospital. He was born in Chicago. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, during which he received the Bronze Star. He was a former member of the McHenry Veterans of Foreign Wars and the McHenry Moose. He was a former officer in the Parent Teacher Association in McHenry. He was also a founding member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in McHenry. He is survived by two daughters, Linda Goetz and Lisa Evans; three sons, Robert J., Michael P. and David; 10 grandchildren; and two sisters. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Peter M. Justen Colonial Funeral Home, 3807 W. Elm St., McHenry. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 3706 W. St. Paul’s Ave., McHenry.
